About Lizzie

I’m a yoga teacher, movement enthusiast, and recovering overthinker, based in Bristol.

I offer slow and steady Hatha yoga classes that give you space to pay attention to how you're feeling and move in a way that suits your body.

I know yoga spaces can sometimes feel daunting, which is why I aim to create a welcoming and judgement-free environment where you can be yourself.

My teaching style is rooted in the belief that yoga doesn't need to be intimidating, complicated, or something we have to be "good at". It's a practice of paying attention, listening to ourselves and finding what works for us that day.

That doesn't mean we can't challenge ourselves sometimes. In fact, slowing down can be difficult! But yoga can help us approach tricky moments with a little more curiosity and self-compassion.

My own experiences of niggles and injuries has shaped the way I teach. I want you to feel free to do what you need during class, without worrying about what the teacher thinks. I'm here to guide, not dictate.

If you’re looking to take some time for yourself and bring a little more balance into your everyday life, I’d love to see you.

What to expect at a yoga class

This is your time, and your practice. I believe your body and mind are your own best teachers, and I'm here to offer guidance and support along the way.

Choice

You'll always be encouraged to make the practice your own. You might need more rest, more challenge, or to skip poses altogether – and that’s more than fine with me!

Everything offered is an invitation, not an expectation.

Awareness

Modern life can be busy and overstimulating – and yoga offers a chance to tune into your inner experience.

Together, we’ll cultivate curiosity, awareness, and self-observation, helping us navigate life off the mat with greater clarity and connection.

Playfulness

It's called yoga 'practice' for a reason! Yoga teaches us that whatever happens, we can keep returning to our breath and body, and try again.

This is a space to let go of the pressure to get everything right. Wobbles are always welcome!

Philosophy

Yoga is much more than asana (physical postures). There is a rich tradition exploring the relationship between body, breath, mind, and how we relate to ourselves and others.

Alongside the physical practice, we’ll explore ideas from the wider yoga tradition in a grounded, practical way – with the hope that they might plant a seed beyond the mat.
